Rhodes enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate with long hot summers and mild temperate winters. Rhodes, famed as being the island of sun, is blessed with over 300 days of sunshine every year. Rhodes has one of the longest tourist seasons of all the Greek islands, running from April until the end of October. The mild spring weather provides a great climate for visitors looking to partake in an active assortment of sightseeing and outdoor activities. Sun worshippers can revel in the heat during the peak of summer temperatures, which last from mid-June to August. The area near Kremasti is blessed with having cooling breezes from the Aegean blowing through to keep things cool throughout the hot summer months. Although occasional days of rain may occur during the autumn months of September and October, the island still sees an abundance of sunshine and warm weather with temperatures reaching up to 28C. Although the winter months still see plenty of sunshine, rain also occurs, which helps keep Rhodes one of the lushest and greenest of the Greek Islands. |
